President Abraham Lincoln, 1809 - 1865, 16th President of the United States, Commander and Chief of the Civil War, and orchestrator of the reformation of the United States. Abraham Lincoln led the nation through 4 years of Civil War, preserving the union, abolishing slavery, strengthening the federal government and modernizing the economy. Here is a signed bottom of a formal parchment land deed document. The signature is Lincoln's complete name and unusually clear, having been written in black iron based ink. It is further endorsed by attorney and Justice of the Peace, James P. Ellis, as well as Captain and then Colonel Thomas Lavender a coast surveyor and appointed 2nd Board of commissioner to the House of Refuge on February 23, 1850. It is framed with a wonderful image of our 16th President as well as an image of the famous meeting at Antietam Battlefield where President Lincoln met with top "Secret Service" protector, Allan Pinkerton, who was working as a spy for the Union, and Maj. General John A. McClernand in 1862.
