William H. Bonney, AKA Billy the Kid, 1859-1881 wild west gun figher who was part of the infamous Lincoln County War and suspected of killing 21 men. New Mexico governor, Lew Wallace, placed a bounty on his head and he was captured by Sheriff Pat Garrett and convicted to hang. But he escaped and was yet again caught by Pat Garrett, who this time made sure he couldn’t get away, since he shot him! Wild West rumor is that Billy the Kid did not die but rode off that night, never to be seen again… Here is a scarce original signature by Wm. H. Bonney.
