Frederic Francois Chopin 1810 - 1849, Polish composer and virtuoso Romantic era pianist who wrote and played magnificent compositions for the solo piano. A child prodigy in Warsaw, he was composing and performing before he was 20. Leaving for Paris at the outbreak of the Polish-Russian War, he did most of his future work in France. He was friends with the finest of his contemporaries, Schumann, Franz Liszt and Beethoven, who references both Liszt and Chopin as his major influences. His famous Nocturnes, waltzes, preludes, the Minute Waltz, the Polonaise, and his magnificent Funeral March are eternal. He is called "The Poet of the Piano". Arthur Rubenstein famously said, "When I play Chopin, I know I speak directly to the hearts of people!" Here is a small lovely signature with 3 lines of music notes, signed " F. Chopin”.
