George Harrison signed Avedon poster! In 1967 The Beatles company "Nems" contracted Richard Avedon to create the design of this poster and then gave the distribution rights to different outlets in different countries. The shoot took place in a London penthouse. Avedon was working in the fashion industry as a photographer in magazines such as Bazaar and Vogue. He took a number of photographs of the group, four of which were later adorned with psychedelic effects by solarizing the film. In the USA "LOOK" magazine offered the chance to order your set with a pullout tab. In England it was the Daily Express Newspaper. In Europe Stern” magazine distributed the posters at newsstands. All 4 printings were simultaneous in 1967. George Harrison often used the image of the hand to symbolize the “psychic palm” of his Hare Kirshna beliefs. This started with his “Living in a Material World” album and became his dedication to the “all seeing eye” that will see where to heal. This is an original hand signed George Harrison Avedon poster done for the USA Look Magazine.
