Jimi Hendrix 1942-1970
One of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music! He was also a singer, songwriter, and an international star in just the four years of performances before his untimely death at age 27. Hendrix was entered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was the recipient of several music awards and his albums are among the “100 greatest albums of all time”. Here is a scarce 1965 original Reprise 45 for what became his “rock standard”, “Hey Joe”…running to Mexico after shooting his unfaithful wife. Hendrix recorded this for his FIRST single with his band, The Experience. It is signed clearly across the 45 by Jimi Hendrix.
