James Hoffa, 1913 - disappearance July 30, 1975.  American Labor Union leader, General President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, he was considered a powerful and persuasive force. He secured the first national agreement for Teamsters' rates and that union went on to become the largest single union in the USA. Convicted and imprisoned for jury tampering, attempted bribery and fraud, he received a pardon from President Nixon who subsequently attempted to block him from union activities.  Hoffa was last seen outside the Marchus Red Fox restaurant. Here is a great signature page as he signs it "James R. Hoffa, Pres. of I.B.T.”
