 Product Description

John Wilkes Booth-Here is an extraordinary and extremely rare autograph by Abraham Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth. It is a receipt 8"x2-1/2" dated 1862 regarding the estate of Levi Fawcett for two dollars, paid in full for services. The display includes the an image of Booth, and the famous scene of him leaping from the Ford Theatre balcony where he had just shot the president, crying "Sic Semper Tyrannis", which we have put in the matting, ("Death to Traitors").  This is one of the most momentous events in all of American history and because of his short and secretive life, Booth is considered one of the rarest of historical signatures to find.
