Marilyn Monroe personally owned and often used gold lame' lady's purse with adjustable handle for clutch or carry styles. This was left behind by Marilyn on the set of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes when production ended and comes with letter of provenance from The Sidney Rosenstein Estate. Rosenstein was an executive in the motion picture industry on both east and west coasts from 1940 until mid 1980. Marilyn's business manager, Inez Melson, presented the purse to Rosenstein, from her own collection, just after Marilyn passed away. The display also includes an original, certified signature by Marilyn Monroe.
