 Product Description

Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, March 1841 - March 1935, American jurist, Chief Justice, Professor of Law at Harvard. He is the most widely cited U.S. Supreme Court Justice in history, a proponent of freedom of speech. Here is a hand written and signed letter dated August 12, 1893, speaking of the variety of animals at the Beverly Farms in MA, ending with this enigmatic scholarly comment: "I think this playful looking shaft from your bow will find the joint in the armor of the giant whose triple brass has defied the black bolts of dehumanized logic."
