Pablo Picasso1881-1973. Here is a rare art hand signed lithograph, 11x15” before framing, of one of the artist’s controversial subjects, the bull. Art critics argue as to it being Picasso’s metaphor for either a symbol of virility, a reflection of his own image and determination, a symbol for the Spanish people, or often thought to be his comment on fascism and brutality. In this abstract lithograph, a man controls a bull, holding him by the horn as he sits on the stall before the bullfight. Picasso dated it when he signed it, 4.11.46, and there is a stamp from the Galerie Vallaurisis and full GFA certification. The lower left image is of Picasso sketching a bull on glass.
