Sir Thomas Sopwith (January 18, 1888 - January 27, 1989), English Aviation pioneer who set up the Sopwith Aviation Company which produced over 18,000 British WWI aircraft for the allied forces including almost 6,000 Sopwith Camel single seat fighters, of which he himself was one of the fighter pilots.  He was Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. He lived to be 101 years old.  Here is an extremely rare signature on a fabulous first day issue cache for the 75th anniversary of The Wright Brothers Flight.
